The United States of America

The United States of America  (USA), also known as the United States or America, is a country located primarily in North America.  It is a federal republic consisting of 50 states and the federal capital district of Washington, D.C. The U.S. is bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation's presence into the Pacific Ocean.
